Al-Qaida No. 2 Calls Bush Failure, Liar

(CNN) -- Calling President Bush "the murderer and spiller of Muslim blood," al Qaeda's top deputy released a videotape Friday accusing the American president of being a "deceitful charlatan" who has lied to the American people.

Ayman al-Zawahiri also blasts the Bush administration for holding Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, an alleged 9/11 conspirator, in a secret prison and alleging that Mohammed gave interrogators "valuable information which has helped the crusaders to kill and arrest a number of al Qaeda."

"I ask this lying failure, who are the leaders of al Qaeda whose killing or capture was facilitated by the information extracted from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed?" al-Zawahiri asks. "Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, may Allah free him, has hurt you thousands of times more than you have hurt him."

The tape, which runs almost 18 minutes, was posted on the Internet with English subtitles.

On it, al-Zawahiri warns that al Qaeda will exact revenge for any harm to Mohammed and others in U.S. prisons. The mujahedeen "are a people who do not sleep under oppression and who do not abandon our revenge until our chests have been healed of those who have aggressed against us."

Mohammed, who al-Zawahiri described as "leader of a march, pioneer of an awakening and vanguard of a nation," was among 14 "high-value detainees" who transferred to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, earlier this month to prepare for trials.

Al-Zawahiri goes on to say that the U.S. military casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq indicate that the mujahedeen is still strong, "attacking, seeking martyrdom, advancing and injuring you on a daily basis with Allah's help."

"Can't you be honest at least once in your life and admit that you are a deceitful liar who intentionally deceived your nation when you drove them to war in Iraq under the pretext of the presence of nuclear weapons there and under the pretext of al Qaeda's connections with Saddam Hussein, following which evidence proved that you intentionally lied and misled?" al-Zawahiri asks.

Al-Zawahiri accuses the U.S. of waging war on Islam under the banner of the war on terror, and employing its allies in the Arabian Peninsula, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan to capture Muslims "whom you made to taste at your hands and the hands of your agents various types of punishment and torture."

In remarks directed again at Bush, al-Zawahiri warns, "And be aware, you deceitful charlatan, that you are not facing individuals or organizations, but rather are facing the Muslim nation in which the spirit of jihad flows and which refuses humiliation under Zionist/crusader arrogance."

A previous taped statement by al-Zawahiri came on September 10, the eve of the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. In it he told the West, "Your leaders are hiding from you the true extent of the disaster."

Why couldn't President Bush just have been silent about Ramadan. Such "goodwill" is only precieved as weak and is never returned.

Just in time for the one-year anniversary of 7/7, a poll conducted for The Times of London indicates that 13 percent of British Muslims believe that the four Islamic suicide bombers who murdered 52 people in London last July should be regarded as "martyrs."

With a Muslim population in Britain estimated at 1.6 million, this means that some 208,000 British Muslims regard these killers with what can only be described as a worshipful attitude. Which is despicable. But Mother England, it seems, is home to an awful lot of despicable people.

One of them, surely, is Anjem Choudary, who made related news this week.
Choudary is a former leader of Al Mujahiroun -- a defunct, jihad-inciting group, whose venomous pronouncements on Islamic supremacy have earned him a strange prominence in the British media. He refuses to condemn the 7/7 attacks, says Muslims shouldn't help police combat jihad terror, and advocates sharia (Islamic law) for Britain. During a BBC "Newsnight"
appearance this year, the host asked Choudary why he didn't simply move to a sharia state like Iran.

"Who says you own Britain, anyway?" Choudary replied. "Britain belongs to Allah. The whole world belongs to Allah. . . . If I go to the jungle, I'm not going to live like the animals, I'm going to propagate a superior way of life. Islam is a superior way of life."

In a way, the 39-year-old Essex man was just found guilty of a charge connected to propagating that "superior way of life." It all started last February when Choudary organized a march on the Danish Embassy in London to protest Muhammad cartoons first published in a Danish newspaper. This wasn't one of those anti-Danish protests in which people were killed -- hundreds died around the Islamic world in this year's Days of Cartoon Rage -- but it was definitely murder-minded. "Behead Those Who Insult Islam," said one placard. "Slay Those Who Insult Islam," said another. "Kill Those Who Insult Islam," and (for variety) "Butcher Those Who Mock Islam," said others.
Hundreds of demonstrators marched through London, praising the 7/7 killers, or calling for the murder of journalists who publish Mohammed cartoons.

And the police stood by.

Still, Choudary did end up in a British court of law, and this week a British judge handed down a verdict. Choudary has been found guilty of ...
staging a demonstration without giving the required six days' written notice.

Tsk, tsk. That'll be $1,400 in fines, please -- easy enough to pay since Choudary, the Online Sun reports, receives more than twice that per month in government handouts. All of which makes Pax Britannica seem quite cheap at the price.

Times of London reports: "Police to brief Muslims before terror raids"

Police have agreed to consult a panel of Muslim leaders before mounting counter-terrorist raids or arrests. Members of the panel will offer their assessment of whether information police have on a suspect is too flimsy and will also consider the consequences on community relations of a raid.

A DRIVER spent two nights in jail after being accused of "revving his car in a racist manner".

Mechanic Ronnie Hutton, 49, yesterday described his court ordeal which finally ended when prosecutors dropped the allegation of racism.

But he was still convicted of a breach of the peace for revving the engine of his £25,000 Lotus.

Witnesses claimed he had been trying to intimidate a Libyan couple on the pavement. Ronnie, of Stirling, claims he was only revving the powerful V8 engine to avoid another £15,000 repair bill.

But off-duty Chief Inspector Eoin Jenkins thought he was targeting Muslim Isam Maigel and his wife Hana Saad.

And when Jenkins, now retired, confronted Ronnie he was told to "f*** off".

On Thursday, at Stirling Sheriff court, the Crown ditched the racist part of the charge but Sheriff Andrew Cubie convicted Ronnie of breach of the peace and fined him £150.

Last night, he said: "To be convicted for revving my car in a busy street is hard to take. Does this mean anyone driving a noisy car in Scotland is now a criminal?"

In court, Mr Maigel, 28, then a student at Stirling Uni, said: "The driver came alongside and was trying to annoy us by revving his engine very, very loudly."

Using an interpreter, Hana Saad, 23, said he had degraded them "maybe because we are Muslim".

Ronnie claims he was only trying to prevent the repeat of a engine problem had had suffered earlier with the Esprit.

He said: "I've had problems with the Lotus since I bought it. I paid £15,000 for a new engine in 2003.

"As soon as I started the car the oil pressure light wouldn't go out. I accept I revved the engine - it's a V8 twin turbo and is noisy and frightening.

"I would openly apologise to this couple. I am not a racist."

They started with a slap in the chest, then cold rooms, then sleep deprivation, then waterboarding, where you think you are drowning and about to die. In the case of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the information he gave up was very valuable regarding one plot which would have involved an airplane attack on the tallest building in Los Angeles. It's clear that in several cases coercive interrogation does seem to have an effect, and that's the bottom line."  "In all 14 cases coerced interrogation was used, and in all 14 cases they gave it up. And you say more than a dozen plots were stopped. I want to make it crystal clear that what we have said is true."

This story is very carefully worded, so that it is not clear that the "religious rioters" who set ten "worship centres" ablaze are Muslims torching churches until we are informed that those fleeing the wrath of the "irate youths" were Christians. Apparently the situation in Nigeria is so delicate that even the facts of the case, simply stated, might enflame murderous passions anew.

NIGERIA once again relapsed into sectarian violence yesterday as a band of irate youths went on rampage in Dutse, Jigawa State capital. They looted and set ablaze 10 worship centres.

Although no life was lost, the Police appeared helpless in stopping the rampaging youths.

The anger was said to have been sparked off by an alleged blasphemous comment on Prophet Muhammed by a Christian woman, who reportedly spoke in reaction to a similarly irreverent statement about Jesus Christ by a male Moslem.

As the state capital was thrown into turmoil, Christians and other non-indigenes fled to Police Barracks to escape the wrath of the rampaging youths.

The North-West Zone Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Joseph Hayab, in a telephone call to The Guardian, gave the name of the female Christian as Jummai, a resident of Kaduna.

Hayab expressed surprise that a mere altercation between two people could lead to such wanton destruction in the name of religions.

He said: "This is a heinous crime in the name of religion. Why should some people always think that they have monopoly of violence? At this critical moment in the chequered history of the nation, we need to preach peace and not violence under the guise of defending a religion."....

The Sultan of Sokoto and the spiritual head of Nigerian Moslems, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido, also decried the use of religion as a tool for violence. He said: "No religion will support violence, harassment, victimisation and all vices, let alone murdering of innocent people. No religion will encourage segregation, discrimination and suppression."

It is becoming clear that the world paradigm is changing. Can a moslem Europe compete economically with non-muslim Asia and the Americas?

Can the civilization that Europe has wrought over centuries survive under sharia?

Indeed, will the Americas succumb to islam?

If the answer to the first two questions is "No" and "Yes" for the third one, I would guess we're heading into another Dark Age where civilization reverts to primitivism, and violence and cruelty are given freer rein than they enjoy even now.

My last question, the answer to which could trump a negative answer to the above questions, does islam carry the seed within itself of its own destruction? Will Shia and Sunni destroy each other before the die is fatally cast for the rest of us?

This could give me a headache.

Islam and the Future of the West [Excerpts]

While we certainly hope that Huntington is wrong, some troubling trends across the Atlantic tend to support his predictions. For instance, writers Robert Spencer and Carol Eisenberg make the following observations about
Scandinavia:

· The Qur'an has now become required reading for secondary schoolers in Denmark.

· Some Swedish authorities are positioning to pressure the European Union to remove the terrorist group Hamas from the EU's list of terrorist organizations.

· In Amsterdam, where it is projected that the majority of residents will be Muslim within 10 to 15 years, the most popular name for a newborn boy is Mohammed.

Such indicators have caused Princeton historian, Bernard Lewis, to remark that Europe will be Islamic by the end of this century if not sooner. Bat Ye'or, a prominent authority on Islam agrees stating, "Eurabia is the future of Europe."

Despite the host of ongoing terrorist violence, including the 9/11 attacks, 39% of Americans have a favorable view of Islam versus 37% who have an unfavorable view according to the July 2004 Pew Research Poll. However former Muslim Ibn Warraq knows better. Commenting about the September 11 attacks, Warraq warns,

"There may be moderate Muslims, but Islam itself is not moderate. There is no difference between Islam and Islamic fundamentalism. Islamic fundamentalism is a totalitarian construct derived by Muslim jurists from the fundamental and defining texts of Islam. The fundamentalists... have made Islam the basis of a radical utopian ideology that aims to replace capitalism and democracy as the reigning world system...Islamic fundamentalism has global aspirations: the submission of the entire world to the all-embracing Shari'a, Islamic Law, a fascist system of dictates designed to control every single act of all individuals."

While some may regard radical Islam as similar to the KKK's relation to Christianity, that is clearly a flawed comparison. The life and example of Christ teach that God's kingdom is to advance not by might, but by overcoming evil with good. Whereas the Islam fundamentalist can rightly claim to follow the teachings of the Qur'an and the example of Muhammad in using oppressive force, the Christian must disregard the clear teachings of Christ and His life to do so.

British police have arrested six suspects for questioning in an attack on a young Jewish girl. The six suspects, ages 10 to 14, were released on bail.

The gang attacked the girl on a bus after she replied "I am Jewish" when they asked her if she is English. The attackers pushed her to the floor, kicked her and stepped on her face. She became unconscious and suffered a fractured eye socket.

As with the quote from the late Christian emperor that so enraged the Muslim world we can find other quotes that are no less provocative. Change a few words here and there and this would make a fine modern day speech in regards to the world scene concerning Islam. This is nothing short of demonic. The forces at work here are of a spiritual nature. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
